NEW ACM PROJECTS IN CUBA

— NEW ACM PROJECTS IN CUBA

Our company, in collaboration with Ondaria World, crosses once again the ocean to participate in two of the most emblematic projects of the island: The Grand Hotel Packard in Old Havana, and the Pilar I Hotel in Cayo Guillermo. During the second quarter of the year, our technical office has been working in the definition of customized wood carpentry elements for these projects and has supplied in a very tight deadline the customized products for our client.

Cuba is a touristic reference in the Caribbean that is reinforcing her luxury accommodation offer, and the Grand Hotel Packard in Old Havana is just one example of that, having scheduled its inauguration in September of 2018. For this project we were commissioned the manufacturing of the inside doors of the common spaces, doors of large dimensions (350x200cm) with pocket and sliding systems and top stained glass doors up to the ceiling which have pantographs of the signaling access to lounges.

Another destination with highest growth in the country’s tourism sector is the Jardines del Rey archipelago in the northwest coast, Ciego de Ávila province. Cayo Guillermo located in this archipelago, has one of the finest beaches in the island, Playa Pilar where the second project in which we have participated is sited. The Pilar I Hotel will be providing their guests with six mini-suits and a presidential suit in palafittes built over the sea. For this project we were commissioned the manufacturing of all doors and windows of the palafittes in iroko wood treated against moisture and using stainless steel hardware of the highest quality. At the same time the client requested the displacement of one our team managers to coordinate the installation with local staff for the quartering and finishing that our technical office had developed.
